Study Program

International Master in Business

The International Master in Business (IMB) is a specialized Master program fully equivalent to a postgraduate program that brings to India the expertise and the international standing of SDA Bocconi School of Management, Italy. It comprises two 11-month modules, which includes a 4-month specialization semester spent at the Bocconi main campus in Milan, Italy in the second module. It is an intense experience that maximizes learning opportunities in a limited scope of time. It allows students to specialize while offering the experience, the international outlook and the multicultural environment essential for a successful career in a global economy. Upon completion of the program, participants are awarded a Diploma by SDA Bocconi in Italy.

This full-time program is designed to build responsible, reliable and effective managers and entrepreneurs. It gives participants the chance to start a successful career or to enhance their work experience by nurturing personal growth and fostering professional development. It offers the experience, the international outlook and the multicultural environment essential for an international career in a global economy. The combination of theory and practice encourages students to have a creative and problem-solving approach; the international exposure educates them to succeed at a local and global level as well as to have a grasp over cultural intricacies.

This program draws heavily from the curriculum, research outputs, faculty and experience of SDA Bocconi School of Management. It is an innovative mix of lectures, international experiences, and connections with the industry that will shape tomorrow’s top managers and entrepreneurs.

An intensive academic program covering all the business fundamentals is delivered by leading international faculty. A strong connection with the corporate world is assured throughout the program by compulsory hands-on experiences and by the activities organized by the Career Development Service (CDS).

A significant international exposure is offered by the Exchange Semester in Bocconi, Milan. Thanks to this complete and well-rounded program, students will be ready to start their career as managers or to become successful entrepreneurs.

Awards offered by SDA Bocconi Asia Center and sponsor companies/institutions provide valuable financial support to ensure that excellent students from all economic and social backgrounds are able to access a superior level of higher education.

For IMB candidates

The Tuition Waivers and Scholarships:

Tuition Waivers: SDA Bocconi Asia Center is offering merit based tuition waivers up to 80% for the IMB 2019-21 admitted candidates with an outstanding profile. The factors considered here are academic consistency, strong entrance test scores, extracurricular activities, and outstanding personal interview. The waivers are applied on the tuition fee after deduction of the scholarship (if applicable) only, thus not on the full Admission Fees.
Dean’s Scholarship can be granted to admitted students, based on the Dean’s decision only. This scholarship is awarded at the time of selection and disbursed to the students if they manage to be in the top 5% in the class at the end of first 11 month module. Its amount is of INR 2 Lac inclusive of GST, will be adjusted against the payable tuition fee of the second module, and will not be disbursed directly to the student.
Women’s Leadership Scholarship is created with the intention of supporting meritorious women candidates applying to the IMB program. The scholarship amount is INR 2 Lac inclusive of GST and is applied on the tuition fee before the Tuition Waivers. Recipients of the Scholarship are high-potential female candidates who meet our standard selection criteria and exhibit exemplary leadership skills in one or more ways: academic leadership, team leadership, community leadership, sports, and creative leadership.
Sports and Cultural Art Scholarship can be granted to those students who have been at a consistent high level in any sport (preferably at National level) and any cultural or Art form. The scholarship amount is INR 2 Lac inclusive of GST and is applied on the tuition fee before the Tuition Waivers. The decision of awarding this lies at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee and cannot be challenged. Students have to furnish supporting documents to substantiate the claim.
